8(a) Sole-Source

 

Advantages to the agencies:

·        Small Business Administration (SBA) is the prime contractor.

·        Agency may choose a specific contractor.

·        No synopsis requirements.

·        Sole-source under $3 M.

·        Not required to allow firms 30 days to respond to the RFP.

 

Procedures:

·        Agency sends offering letter to SBA.

·        SBA authorizes negotiations between agency and Infologics.

·        Agency issues RFP to Infologics.

·        Infologics prepares technical and cost proposals.

·        Agency negotiates with Infologics on fair market price.

·        Agency forwards contract to SBA.

·        SBA approves the contract.

·        Infologics begins to work.  

 

Contract Vehicle #2

GSA’s Schedule

 

Advantages to the agencies:

·        Broad range of ADP Services and nationwide coverage.

·        Can be procured by Purchase Order, BPA, or Task Order.

·        No synopsis requirements.

·        Competitive rates.

·        Maximum order $0.5 M.

·        Minimal paperwork.

 

Procedures:

·        Agency contacts Infologics regarding pricing and technical requirements.

·        Agency sends Infologics a purchase request, SOW, or Task Order.

·        Agency specifies method of payment.

·        A letter from agency includes: Infologics’ GSA# GS-35F-0433J, labor categories, hourly rates, number of hours, estimate of ODC’s, agency POC & contracting official.

·        Infologics accepts terms and begins project.
